Speaking of hand me downs..

I got these shoes at the local used shop. They were never worn and still in the box. They're Candie's brand and a size 4. They fit perfectly and are so comfy I felt like I got a real bargain. Instead I got crap from the fashion police who work there. They rolled their eyes and made hooker jokes. Seriously? These old woman were wearing high wader bell bottom polyester pants in bright colors and had on argyle sweater vests and those crappy appliqued sweat shits that say "World's Greatest Grandma." Fuck you, granny.

On the way home I found a 6 foot vintage aluminum Christmas tree in someone's trash. I've been longing for one. It was calling to me. The box smelled like cat, but, I took a chance. I got it home and threw the box away and the tree is in perfect shape and smells fine. It's a fancy one that only has two pieces too! I'd call that a good day and I don't care what anyone thinks.

Just noticed the camera date is wrong. Great, another thing to figure out.

i love those aluminum trees!! and remember they'd have those spotlights with the 4 different colors that would spin on 'em??

fuck the fashion police!

Yes! This one didn't have the color wheel, but, I doubt I'd have used that anyhow. It's a really nice vintage tree and I'll post a pic at Yule time. It's time to retire Lissa's pink tree. That thing looks raggedy.

Size 4? Wow, that is tiny! I think the shoes are cute :)

Yeah, tiny feet and hard to find shoes. If it wasn't for the Olsen twins, I'd never have grown up shoes.

And BTW, these shop women were the same bitches who wouldn't sell me a prom gown for my scarecrow.

They look perfect. I like them DD. I have really nothing wrong with used toys things items and etc. I was just taking out of context.

Sweet Ive meet someone that has smaller feet than I am a 5. We have pixie feet DD. Do you have small little ears to? Its not a joke.

I remember you saying that about the Olsen twins. I love that these thrift store nazis think they can dictate who buys their stuff, what a bunch of nuts. I bet they are also on the Ladies Auxiliary at church, aren't they? Self important hags LOL

Yes, they are. How did you know?? That used store is community based and also the back room is the food bank which IS church based. They forget that the store is not supposed to have religious affiliations and well, they piss me off. I wasn't anywhere near Jesus's foodbank.

Well remember, you and I are pretty close geographically and we have those types here, too. Do-gooders that think it makes them God's right hand, thereby granting them the powers of judgment. True patrons never expect the people they help to kiss their ass on their way down to the kneeling position.

Having said that, I've done my share of volunteering at church functions and those old biddies have made me feel as though I hadn't really reached their level of martyrdom, so I don't volunteer too much anymore...LOL

We had an old hag in our shop yestersay who was so bad..she deservers her own post. (C-U-N-T.)

Fuck those old judgmental bitches. I like the shoes. Besides, it's got to be damn near impossible to find heels in a size 4. I wasn't entirely sure that was a real size!

Dirty Disher said...

Everything here starts in a 6. It's frustrating. I can wear a 5 somtimes, but, 6 is way to big.

Dirty Disher said...

Oh, I can wear a kid's size 3, but, only the Olsens make cute ones without Dora or Sponge Bob on them. Geesh.

I've known quite a few people who "volunteer" at thrift stores---and I can tell you that the workers take A LOT of the good/valuable stuff before it even gets to the shelves.
If anyone ever abused me while purchasing something at a thrift store I would write a letter to the non-profit that the store benefits. It is supposed to be charity work, and being rude to customers may actually harm the charity.
And I think those shoes are cute!

Sent you an email, DD :)

Sally, yup you are right. I know of antique dealers who "volunteer" at thriftshops to get the good stuff. In fact, most of the thriftshops here in LA are full of junk for that reason. It's a shame.

I don't see you as a Dora or Spongebob type. Unless those shoes have 5 inch heels and platforms they're about as far from hooker shoes as they can be. I don't see the heels but you said they were comfortable so they can't be stiletto hooker shoes.

Who are they to refuse to sell something to someone willing to buy?! Man that would push all kinds of buttons for me.

they look like regular girly shoes to me.

DD...you have such small feet. The first thing that came to mind was the song Tiny Dancer. Now every time I hear it, I will think of you.

Candies shoes are great! I love them! I have about three pairs myself. I get them at Kohl's when I am shopping in the USA (Canada doesn't have Kohls'). Your shoes are fab DD!

My feet are a half size, which sucks. Lots of stores don't carry half sizes.

Those are darling and if there comfy. yay!
Can't take those old bitches to seriously. To bad they think so much of themselves. they are the only ones who do.
My mother-in-law has tiny feet like that she has luck when a shoe store has an inventory change and scores the display model though sometimes one is faded and fondled.
Unfortunately I don't think you have a shoe store there. Criminal.

I knew you were a transvestite! It's really obvious. You write like a man.

Thank you again. :)

After I read 'size 4', nothing else registered. How do you balance on those tiny feet? I'm short and need every square millimetre of my size 8's.
