I had to figure out where I put this. It's really, really old and the frame needs repair so I had stashed it..but, it's an early American woman walking her two girls to church. Look familiar?
Yes! Cloak looks like the one on the ghosts. Now does the painting look familiar because I've seen yours? Was it mass produced enough Grandma and my aunt have one? Just wondering.
Noelle, I'm sure you've seen it. I don't know anything about it. It was old when I found it in mom's shed 30 years ago. The edges were damaged, so I cropped and reframed it. The signiture was ruined. I've never seen the print anywhere else. I'm sure it's from the Victorian times, other that that..dunno.
This has been a dramatic few days for me with regard to this whole subject. I trusted your judgement, DD, and I'm glad you don't get 'evil' vibe from them. Still trying to get info on the house but it's very old. The main house is an old farmstead situated among newly build estates. Their property backs onto pasture land where I have seen actual cowboys on horses herding cattle. It's like a little bubble of the past still existing in our present. The house with the spirits is on their property and abandoned so I assume it is older and/or not used as a dwelling so much.

Is this a painting or photogragh? It's cool!
It looks just like the robe in the picture. Wow.

err, Victorian decor, not Victorian subject matter.
That's right I remember now. We tried to learn more about it. It's ingrained in my memory without notes as to why.
Yes, that looks just like the cloak in the photo.

Frimmy, have they said whether they're going to leave the house or not? I kinda hope so. Where would the ghosts go if they didn't have a house?
There's a good question. I once found a ghost in a house that wasn't there. She thought it was there.
DD, are ghosts trapped in places or can they move?
