What do YOU think of a grown woman who collets this?

I was like, she's married?? What man would marry a woman that...ohhhh. I saw his pic. Yeesh. The article HERE says he now helps her collect them. They go to boot sales, which I suppose is like a yard sale, and it's something they can do together. I think it's harmless, but, gross and I wonder about her mentality. Mostly because it takes up so much room and is 100% worthless. Lissa's room looks like that sometimes. I hate stuffed animals with a passion. I finally told her, you know, spiders love that stuff. If I was a spider that's where I'd live. (It's the truth.) Now, she's better. She keeps them fairly picked up and tossed in clothes baskets up there. Sometimes I get fed up and take out bags and bags of them and put them in mom's yard sale room. Eventually, Lis drags them all back, one by one. I hope she outgrows it. I can not fathom the mentality of a grown woman who collects this stuff.

Beanie Baby collectors are the worst. They actually think that stuff is worth something. It is nothing but garbage and an embarassment.

LOL! They do, don't they? Probably very nice people, who knows? I figure if a person doesn't bother anyone else, they are a decent person.

Yep, she could have a much more offensive hobby but really, anyone over the age of 16 having this many cuddly toys can't be normal. I appreciate keeping a childhood favorite ot two (as one or two friends of mine do) or rare/ collectables but most of this is just tat from the disney store, add to that they are a PIA to keep dust free (the boy has a small collection of stuffed animals, he is 5 so totes acceptable, lol) and I have to hoover them regularly as they get cat hair & dust all over them.

She is lucky to find such an understanding bloke but then, he's no oil painting & they seem happy enough so I'll stop being a bitch now. haha

What a handsome couple. Never would I buy stuffies second hand anymore because of what a problem bedbugs are here in Alberta. I wonder, are they as much a problem in other countries?

Never buy stuffed animals from yard sales. These things are full of germs, mites, bed bugs, you name it. Best way to spread bugs and germs. And I am not a neat freak---far from it. Just think of what you or your kids did with their favorite stuffed toys.

She's fucked up.

Melvin, you said it best. I let Lis buy from yard sales, but, I look it over. Everything kids own is a germ factory anyhow. We've never encountered a problem. Except that we own the damn things.

I guess there truly is someone for everyone. Damn. She's screwed if she brings bed bugs back to her "stuffie lair."

This freaks me out. Stuffed animals sitting in the aisles at the church? why couldn't they have included pics? WHy??!
