Nora Jones Cold Cold Heart

Hey, guys, take a listen to this. I was trying to further educate the kid on music, when I found this and got a schoolin' myself. We were looking up Bonnie Rait, because Lissa said all country sucks and I said, no, most of the new stuff sucks. Bonnie, of course, is a blues queen, but, she does some great old country. Anyhow, Nora Jones did a  concert with Bonnie and this is one of the things Nora chose. It's that old Hank Willams tune we all know, cry in yer beer song. But, Nora blew me away with her rendition. I looked up Nora Jones chords for it and got no results and then I listened again. Dur me. She's really using the same old easy chords Hank used, she's just throwing in some jazz and singing it her way. Tell me what you think of this version, please.

That was nice! I love Nora Jones, though.

It's on her first album which I used to listen to a lot when I was sleepy and it was raining.

Bonnie has been my favourite female voice for over 40 years. I saw her live at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, way before she was public property, in fact I don't think I was in there legally. She was incredible and no one would let her take a break till she finally pleaded that her throat was aching - we took pity.
Love her efforts at fund-raising concerts - also saw her in Seattle with Jackson Browne and Danny O'Keefe, longggg time ago, 87, I think.
Nora's great, unique, true quality.

I like Nora, maybe I should listen to her more. But, I LOVE Bonnie. I'm jealous you went to see her twice. When she sings 'Love Me Like A Man' I get shivers.
