Elvis's planes to remain at Graceland

Elvis's personal jets, the Lisa Marie and Hound Dog ll, will remain at Graceland according to according to a new arrangement between EPE and OKC. If you want to know the details go HERE and read the article. Just kidding! Read the comments, you know that's where the dirt is. All I know is, Lisa Marie is still very rich and everything is all 'Cilla's fault. If you really want to know what happened wait for 'Cilla's next book in which everyone will be 14 years of age, wearing white cotton panties and available in paperback as well as hard backed versions. That's TCB, y'all.

We toured these planes while visiting Graceland years ago and the thing I remember most about them is that the Lisa Marie had gold plated seat belts--one that stretched across the huge bed.

Also, like much of Graceland itself the interiors are beyond tacky. So they definitely belong there in memphis!

We were there in 1978. 1 year after he died. Back then you could just walk thru the gates and stroll around. Nothing was organized. It was free. And those planes were NOT there. That place is such a circus now. We even saw little LM riding in a long white caddy pulling into the drive that day. BBQ places everywhere. It wasn't a thing then. And I don't even know where in the H they could have put those planes. They must have opened up some of the property behind the house for that crap. Cuz the pool is on the side of the house and the gravestones of Elvis, his father and brother are in a small garden area just off the fence, by the pool. Kinda weird placement. But Bill Cosby's son Ennis is buried in his backyard. So, w/e.

The planes are across the street. There is a museum over there now JAM PACKED with Elvis stuff. And that is also where you have to pay and board the tram that takes you up to Graceland.

It's all very organized now. It's a freakin' gold mine. Every single tram jam packed and lines all day.
Loved it. We toured Graceland both days of our trip. Were planning on Beale street, lunch at the Peabody, etc., but Graceland was just too cool. We couldn't get enough!
If I ever found myself in Memphis again, I would tour Graceland again.
