The Princess of Awwwww
No matter how you feel about the Royals, you have to admit, that is one good looking baby. I wish they'd just tell us her name already. They look happy and that makes me smile. Although it also makes me feel old remembering how I watched Diana display Wills like that. I wish protocol would be thrown out and we got to hear all the details of this birth because I'm curious. Kate seemed in and out with this one, I mean, wow, that was quick!
Any doll collectors out there? My first thought was that the new Princess looks just like a Bye-lo baby.
London's Tower Bridge will be lit up in pink tonight, to honor the new Princess. The Queen also wore pink. Aww, that's nice.

That's a show baby they got, the real baby has devil horns.
They all look awesome! That's a very cute baby.
Do you really think she checked in, had her baby and then came out looking this great? I have been hearing that people are suspicious of the time frame. I don't know. I see a lot of women give birth, and I don't know of anyone who looks anywhere close to this in 12 or so, hours. Of course, none of the women I see have professional hair stylists, or makeup artists at their beck and call.
I do think it was a very daring choice to wear a white dress out of the hospital, so soon after giving birth. Kind of like wearing tight, white jeans during the first day or so of your period. I like the dress, and think she absolutely glows in it, but you know that underneath, she is wearing a pad the size of a phone book. (I read that somewhere, and you know it's true. We have all been there.)
I read that with Prince George, the Queen arrived at Buckingham Palace, and then the name was announced a short time later. This time, the Queen is not close by, so I don't know what they expect. She does have to approve of the name, though.
I hope they slip some reference to Diana in there somewhere. Either Diana, Frances, or Spencer. Having Elizabeth as part of her name would be really nice, too.
What do you think they will name her? I think Alice would be cute, but I hear Charlotte is a strong contender, as well. That might be a little weird, as Princess Caroline has a daughter named Charlotte, and I would think they would choose something else, just to be unique among current royalty. Just my thought, anyway.
I am sorry to hear that the MRI didn't go well. That is a bummer. You are in my thoughts. . .

Neither Princess Alice nor Charlotte flow off the tongue. Hope it's something really pretty and classically British. (Anglophile here!)
Yes this is one cute baby. Did you see Jill Dugger Dillard's? Oh my, such a difference. This one is a beauty. They will stay clear of the name Diana. But maybe Harry will go for it.
I've been worried about your MRI. Surgery would scare the hell out of me. But my landlord got some sort of gel shot into herniated discs in his back and neck. He can do anything now. Has a lot of strength and energy. Says only had pain for several hours afterward in his back but for months in his neck. Beats surgery. I do hope there's a good option for you. Ask the specialist all options available, not just his/her fav remedy. Too many docs are in it for the money.
Glad I looked over my post first. The wasn't like cortisone or something, it was like a gel of some sort to inject actually cushioning into the disk spaces.
I love the name Charlotte and we know it's on the list. I hope her middle name is after Diana. Yeah, a pad the size of a phone book made me laugh, because we've all been there. But, the stay at the hospital might be real. I wasn't even in the hospital an hour before I had my second one. I did like, 30 hours at home first. I looked like hell.
Border, they will have to give me a damn good reason to have more surgery. I am not doing it. Limited mobility sucks shit, but, surgery.. just pisses me off to even consider it.
ps.. cervical spinal stenosis, is what they're thinking. I had to look it up. It's gross. In the lower spine I have significant disc degeneration and a severe curve from scoliosis and also pretty bad RA. Man, it's like I can't get a break. It's almost funny when you look at it all together. It's like, say what? Well, fuck me.
Do you get one of those scooters at least?
Oh goodie we have the same spinal and digestive track disorders. We have the chimpanzee backs. Shouldn't walk upright. Melvin, fat people get scooters, the rest of us drug ourselves up and limp a lot. And fall down, tho the doc said not to do that.
I use crutches, but, I want a scooter!! Man, could I be annoying on one of those. I wonder if Medicare would cover it?
You have to live in a palace like a princess to use a scooter in a house. They hit walls and doors and everything else. They are hell to get in and out of a van, even with a lift thingy that my husband had. But man it would be fun scooting. Took Ron to a fair once, and people fall over it
Oh DD forgot to mention the bottoms of my feet burn like hell now, just to add to the general misery. But my dog loves me and I have to be there for him. He has quite the social life. He went to a meet-up, a street fair with a LOT of activity, an agility event, home depot, and the dog park over the weekend. Got to have me as the chauffeur, like you with your granddaughter. We have a purpose.
Great to hear from you DD, although I'm sorry there wasn't better news from your MRI.
I love me a little Princess! It takes me back to Wills and Harry as babies. She's a doll and can't wait to learn her name. I have Caroline on the brain, but know that is unlikely, but I love Charlotte. I think they will include Diana as one of her many middle names.
Charlotte Elizabeth Diana...very pretty :)
FYI the Cobain documentary is online.
I'm sorry to hear about your spinal problems. I have issues with C5-6 and occasionally my lumbar spine. The sacral area has been driving me crazy as I can feel it "catch" as I try to bend, and it shoots sciatica down both legs. I miss being able to move without worrying.
The scooters are sort of fun. I used one when I had an ankle problem, and had to wear one of those big boots. I scooted around Costco, but honestly, I was a bit of a menace as I never fully figured out the turning radius, or the speed adjustment.
The little princess has a nice name, but I thought they would have chosen something other than Charlotte. Princess Caroline's daughter Charlotte, and all that. I wonder if they will call her "Charlie"? That would be cute.

Hi ya, ~waves to Beth, Angie and Christina~. Good to see you guys here. I'm mobile today, walking without support. It's weird how that happens. It comes and goes, I suppose as nerve endings get moved? Anyhow, I'm going to paint and decorate my crutches. Hmm, have to think it out.
Yay! Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, why, I couldn't have picked a better princess name myself. I love it. I have a friend called Charlie, a woman. I think it's adorable.
Melvin, where??? Please give me a link..please????
Copy that link some place and then delete my post so you don't get flagged as a pirate site.
My only comment on Montage of Heck is that it makes you see Courtney Love in a new light. I think he fucked her up as much as she ever fucked him up.
As it turns out, Diana's brother, The Earl of Spencer, or whatever, also has a daughter named Charlotte. I think she is Charlotte Diana, maybe? It is a nice name, but that's a few Charlottes ya got there.

Awww, still it's a good name, cute. Unlike, George. I mean, god damn, George?
Melvin, thank you. I am loving this.
