Transient camp Telluride..something wrong with this story
I came across THIS story in Yahoo News about a homeless guy living in the Telluride, Colorado area in the National Forest. He got sentenced to spend the Winter in jail for dumping tons and tons of trash in the forest. I didn't think too much about it, other that, what a gross thing to do and won't Tom Cruise be pissed (Tommy Girl has a house in Telluride), but, then I watched the film and it really bothered me.
The video was on You Tube and if you look at it, the trash is..odd to say the least. Now, I get that he might be mentally ill and also that he raided the 'free box' in town where people donated items. But, there's something there that really makes me shiver. I won't make you guess, most of you can clearly see it anyway. There are far too many new items and baggage, camping supplies, bike helmuts, skiies, nylon things (tents, bags, etc.) There are even tools in there. And toys. And women's clothes. This doesn't look like donated stuff to me. (Also this crap looks way too new. If it's been years, like the officer in the vid say, this should not look this way.) This looks like camper and traveler luggage. This, most of it, looks like things you bring on a trip. I think they should be looking up missing people and searching for graves. Because that's where my mind goes. I'll bet you there's much more to this story.
Am I just a morbid thinker who watches too many horror movies?

It is very creepy. It's disturbing to me to see two wedding gowns (I think it is two) draped over stumps. It doesn't feel right. It doesn't feel like a normal homeless camp. To me, it looks like a lot of items are almost. . . displayed.

Yeah, it's just creepy. Some of it looks like luggage theft, some of it looks like he may be a camper serial killer. I wish they'd shown a photo of him.
Maybe I'll buy my picker a ticket to Telluride.
For real. Picker scares me.
Didn't watch. After your description, I didn't want to. Christ. Sounds like a f'g horror movie to me. I think you might be onto something. I hope they searched for I.D's among that pile. We had "Pop Bottle Pete". He wandered thru town, picking, and always looking for pop bottles to cash in. He wasn't scary. But now, he would be taken away. I may have to watch now, after reading Christina's comment about the wedding gowns. WTF? Honeymooners? Missing? Murdered? Holy Sh**! Did he eat them? Probably.
