A fond goodbye, Mr. Blackwell

Richard Blackwell, 86, the author of From Rags to Bitches, passed away. The acid tongued fashion critic who called Sharon Stone "An over-the-hill Cruella DeVille." And who quipped that Jessica Simpson "resembles a cut-rate Rapunzel — slingin' hash in a Vegas diner." The international fashion police are looking for a new sheriff, but, Blackwell can not be replaced. He feared none. Rest in peace, Mr. Blackwell.

Isn't the heir-apparent for the position of fashion police Joan Rivers?

Not in my opinion. There's a huge difference between fearless and funny and mean and weird.

Well in my opinion, Joan rocks-- but she'll never replace Mr. Blackwell. No one ever could.

I'll miss Mr. B and his acerbic wit, immensely.

Cocajiro is a kinda cool gay fashion critic. But I don't think anyone will attempt to take Mr. B's throne. The king is dead! Long live the king!

Hate him. Always hated him. If he wanted to be a bitchy woman why didn't he have the "operation" years ago? I don't think he even believed what he said, just wanted some attention. Why was he an expert?
