Stupid son of a bitches!

We closed up shop early today and I came home to play with Lissa. She wanted her pool filled up. It's so freekin' hot. I turned on the hose and I heard this ungodly whining from next door. The German Shepard was literally on her knees begging for water. She looked half dead and her eyes were twitching real oddly. Like a seizure. I quickly went and got a saucepan and worked it over the fence and gave her water. She emptied it 4 times. I was very very very very upset.
*
I looked around the yard then and realized she'd gotten out. She broke the fence and she bent this part and stole the top of that old bird bath..looking for water. I was mad as a piss ant. I went over there and told them what she did and that I wanted my birdbath back. They went out there and got it for me and then started yelling at the dog! I said "WTF are you yelling at that dog for? YOU'RE the ones who left her out all day with no water!"
*
It could have been two days, that big dog is the quiet one. It is absolutely ungodly brutally hot here. I went in and told Mom about it and she said "Oh, that big dog has been hanging around all afternoon with her tongue hanging out." I blew up and said "WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T YOU GIVE HER A DRINK???" Now we're fighting. She said that's not her dog and I said she had an obligation as a human being to give it water. I called her stupid. Then she tried to make all kinds of excuses, she was busy, she forgot. I think they're all a bunch of fucking idiots and is everyone around here a fucking idiot??? FUCKING IDIOTS. STUPID NO GOOD LAZY ROTTEN NO GOOD FAT FUCKING BASTARD SONSABITCHES. IDIOTS! All of them.

Can you tell I'm pissed? That poor old dog! These no good bastards. Fuck them all. Cocksuckers. I'm going to go play with Lis now before my head explodes.

Pat,
Could you report them to the local spca of humane society?

See, this is when the hurrican blows up on that wild beach I mentioned a day or so ago.
I agree with you and would have come unglued at people mistreating an animal as well.
It just isn't that hard to give a dog a drink and that, it isn't her dog was no excuse...

Breath and have fun playing with the little one.

i would've fucking threw a bucket of water on those dumb asses heads....

stupid fucks!

Corina said...

oh no, the poor thing!! :( Some people shouldn't be allowed to have animals...

now now, calm down.

SPCA sucks ass in many cities, here they would have picked up the dog and killed it two weeks later if no one adopted it...or who knows, drop it off somewhere else

Anonymous said...

thank god you were there, that dog would have surely died, please, please, put it on your water rounds list. the neighbors don't even have to know.
i'm mad too!

I won't calm down. I can;t stand it. I am SO mad. Lissa is watching a movie. She talked me into camping out tonight in a Barbie tent. Jesus Christ.

these are the same kind of people that leave their children in the car on a hot day and then cry about it later!

Maureen said...

That is animal cruelty, and you have every right to be pissed! Some people should not have animals! You'll just have to keep an eye on the poor dog and give it water, like you don't have enough to do already!

Oh crap. Things like that piss me off too. The other day I was at dance class and I noticed two dogs in a car right outside, we could see them through the big windows. My teacher and I were ready phone in hand to call the cops if the owners didn't show up in a few minutes. It was close to 70, and cars get really hot like an oven, the sun was directly on this one.

DD I'd be mega pissed too.

I am just as pissed. There is one thing that gets my blood going in no time, cruelty towards children and animals. As many readers have said, put the dog on your "water list" - not your job but you seem the only one to care around there.

On another note, ROFLMAO about camping in the Barbie tent with Lissa. Sorry...

Oh I'm so glad you were there to give the dog some water. Poor baby. I don't blame you for being pissed! There is nothing that makes me more mad than people who mistreat their animals!

iambriezy said...

Oooh! I'm pissed on your behalf...lucky for the dog you came around. Fuckers. You should fill their mailbox with rat droppings.

I totaly agree with you.So many time people are too busy blab blab. It's not the animals fault it's the owners. Good for you!!!

I may or may not know someone who just dognapped a pup who was living in similar circumstances. It was a win-win-win-win situation.

TVsnark said...

I was just telling people that the only thing I'm jealous of are people who have dogs.

Call the Humane Society. This dog needs a better home.

Poor puppy dog.

OMG! That post has me very upset. there is a pet store here that the owner got cited for some complaints against him. There was a little tiny miniature terrier in the window with his face all dried up in a "scream" face postion. He had been deprived of water for a few days & died in the window. It was on the news here. The bastard opened the store everyday & didnt even give that baby any water! Guess what? he's still in business. After all the complaints! I say put him in a window for a few days with no water or food and let him dry up & die. See how he likes that. Some people are just cruel, lazy, heartless bastards who dont care about other living beings at all. No conscience. Yes, your mom should have given the poor dog water too. If it is that hot, she had to realize. Please report the neighbors. The dog will die if he is left in that home.

oh my god what IDIOTS!!! I swear animals are smarter then people!!!!!

the best thing you can do is become that dogs guardian. in the long run, it will save you getting totally pissed off with the dogs owners. its no use reporting these people, they will get away with it and if the dog doesn't find a new home it will be put down. just find a bowl to chuck over the fence and when you water the garden make sure the bowl is full. maybe chuck a bone over the fence now and again too. doing that will make you feel much better than trying to force these morons to care about animals. they never will. just take the dog on and ignore the fucking bastards. in the end they might even start to feel a bit ashamed knowing that they are so dim witted that neighbours have to perform simple tasks for them, such as ensuring that their pets get water. make the fuckwits feel small.

I would have been hard pressed not to do violence. I can't stand cruelty. I've also known of dog-napping for the good of the dog. I want to drive out and come get him, poor thing :-(

I don't blame you for getting mad. I would have had the same reaction. I hate to see a animal suffer for no reason. How dare they let a poor creature go without water for so long.

with3love said...

Roxanne, that is such a horrid story...poor puppy! Sad things like that happen all the time. There was a story recently where a single mother gave birth to twins, the mother died shortly after arriving home from a blood clot... by the time someone called authorities to break in, one baby had died of dehydration/starvation, and the other baby died shortly afterward. I mean, TONS of stories of heart wrenching unnecessary suffering...if only, someone would have checked on that family knowing her lack of support.

Then right here in my home town, a newborn in foster care was basically eaten by ants that came after him because of his disgusting diaper...that baby did not live either.

AHHH I hate stories like these, 'cause my mind starts remembering every single story that left me devastated.

I hate tragedy.

Dirty Disher said...

Lia's right. I now have a dog to take care of even though I never wanted a dog. That's so not fair! And it maked me so pissed I want to kill them all. Not the dog..the people.

lia said...

well now that you have, by default, become the dogs guardian, maybe you can find a new home for it? like your other readers i'm all for 'rescuing' dogs and re-housing them. it would also really piss me off if it became my lot to care for someone else s dog whilst trying to run my own life. lazy fucking bastards! you will no doubt come up with some sort of payback, it might take a few years, but i guess you and your neighbors are there for the long haul. don't worry, you will find an opportunity. meanwhile are there any animal welfare groups around that might be able to help find a new home? i'm lucky in that i have contacts here that i could resort to.

Dirty Disher said...

This is the sticks literally. There is no one. You were right. I have to do it or lose my mind.

crabbie said...

They should die. I guess.

Heidi said...

We had neighbors that would let their cat out and then go to work without letting him back in.
They would do this in the rain, the heat, and in the snow.
I made a cardboard cubby on my porch one winters day for the poor lad. He was a mean son of a bitch but after awhile he trusted me and let me pet him.
I could never get to talk to these people because they were never home.
They have since moved. They should have left him for me to take care of.

Anonymous said...

I'm with Crabbie, they SHOULD die. Now I'M enraged. DD, you are an angel, and my hero. If we lived near you, we'd totally smuggle the dog to our house. People who do this shit ought to be shot. Goddamn worthless LOSERS.

When I first moved here they didn't feed either of the dogs. They were out all winter. I made enough trouble that they started taking care of them, but, now they're off again. I can never ever get along with someone who does things like that to animals. And I am sick of owning dogs I never planned for. It's happened all my life and it's not right.

Dirty Disher said...

AND now I have fence to fix. They won't fix it. And my Morning Glories are all bent and now I can see into their yard. I hate that.

Dirty Disher said...

I am also going to buy some big flat containers and put them under the trees for all the animals. I have a metal bird bath that's always full. The cats jump up there and get a drink too and they can't tip it. I fill it everyday. But, sometimes I skip these other bird baths because they aren't close. Now I will have to check them all daily. I usually have toad and snake water too, but, yesterday I didn't. That poor dog, it just haunts me.

Pat said...

That poor dog is big, but, she's ancient, she couldn't reach or pull down the metal bird bath. The smell of the water must have been agony.

And blogger keeps logging me out. I hate blogger.

i had a neighbor who chained his dog outside all day in a fenced yard near a doghouse and food and water bowl. the stupid fuck also chained the dog where he would get wrapped around a pole within minutes after he left. after untangling the dog multiple times ,i called the county who said as long as shelter and food/water were available there was nothing they could do. I asked what if the dog can't reach the food/water/shelter? answer? doesn't matter. WTF?

Dirty Disher said...

I know! Trust me, I know! It's terrible what people can do to animals. I hope they rot in hell.

Tonya said...

Call the cops. I am not even kidding.

Hell, tell me the address and I will call the cops.

Dirty Disher said...

Do you think I haven't called the cops????? I've called a dozen times. He's their buddy, they won't even come out here.

Tonya said...

You've got to be kidding me? What kind of town do you live in where someone can TORTURE an animal and get away with it because they're friends with a cop? I seriously cannot wrap my brain around that. I honestly can't think of a worse way to die than to slowly die of thirst while chained near a source of water. Move and take the dog with you.

Melissa said...

Water, food and love. The dog will be in heaven with those. The dog is lucky to "have you as a neighbor". Cruelty towards animals/children/people who cannot defend themselves in intolerable.

I read today in a magazine about a center for mentally handicapped people. Those in charge of them set them up for "fight clubs". They beat each other up for the sole entertainment of the caregivers.

I will probably not sleep well tonight.

What is wrong with us?

Anonymous said...

oh wow. I just read this. You are an amazing woman for seeing this so clearly. Thank goodness for people like you, that get it. It is our obligation to take care of animals. What a tragic story.
