Lia's daisys. Daisies, daisys? Anyway, yeah, those are the same kind I have. I didn't know you had them there. They are a biannual and spread from seeds here. I'll betcha they're perrenials there, huu? I have a hard time keeping them where I want them. I was fascinated by that pic. You have a cool house. I love your trinkets. Tell me about the mask and figure. Is that Aboriginal or African art? Nice tea set. What is that blue thing at the top right?

the daisy is perennial. its flowering now, even though its winter. the mask is from an oxfam type shop. it was reduced because its damaged. most of my things were cheap because they were damaged. the blue thing is clay (which i painted blue) and from morroco you put candles in it. i was lucky enough to live next door to a morrocan gift shop for a few years and bought a few nice things as well as getting cracked and broken stuff free or cheap. the silver tea set belonged to my grandparents. i just love stuff from anywhere overseas and, because i now work in a second hand shop, i get first pick and come home with some great stuff. the fireplace has a wooden mantlepiece around it. this house is an old victorian workers cottage, its about 100 years old. its government housing, again i got lucky because i could never afford a place like this, but i have a cheap rental till i die. those housing arrangements no longer exist. housing in melbourne is stupidly expensive, worse than new york. a friend of mine who is an aweome artist said "what you need love, is colour" when he first visited my place. im not too good with visualizing how a colour will look so all my walls were white. anyway he transformed the kitchen and lounge with colour. and i just love it. the kitchen is gold and blue with lime green wood trims, the wood furniture red, the lounge is pink and purple and the ceilings are orange! there is no way i would ever have dared to throw those colours together. but he did! and he made the place look amazing!
It's really striking. I love the way it's decorated. Very homey at the same time. Nice.
thanks!
I love seeing how others live. So far, I have loved everyone on heres house.
