HERE is a great movie, in my opinion. I'd been wanting to see this since it was reviewed, not too long ago actually. It never went big, hell, it might have gone straight to DVD for all I know. But, I loved it. Kim Cattrall is not afraid of her age or close ups or pot bellies. She plays an aging porn star losing her looks, down to her last $20 bucks, and living in a rusty old trailer. Far away in another state is a 17 year old geek boy who grew up whacking to her old porn movies and falling in love with her. He didn't seem to realize the movies were 30 years old. Or maybe he did and he just didn't care.
Taking to the road in the only material thing he owns, a beat up food truck he got from his grandpa for his birthday, which has the name 'Weenie Wiz' and a giant hot dog on top, he hits the road to meet his dream girl. Monica Velour.
What happens next is predictable and not predictable at all. Funny and sad and lovely. It's a love story. Sort of. Between a innocent orphan boy trying to become a man and a middle aged woman gone wrong who trusts no one, for good reason. What can I say? I loved this movie. I will watch it again. Kim is such a good actress. Who knew? For some reason it reminds me of that movie, Napoleon Dynamite. Not that it's the same story or anything, but, the somber hilarity of it. The parts where you don't know if you're supposed to laugh or cry. If you like odd movies about human relationships, check it out.

Dreams and reality can be two different things. First date. Notice the gallons of cheap wine? He ends up pushing her home in a shopping cart because she's too drunk to find her mobile home...or walk. Very romantic.

She is my favorite character on Sex and the City. Always good to have suggestions for something to watch. TV has hundreds of channels, but I always have a hard time finding something. I did watch Orange is the new Black on Netflix. That was really good.
