There's my yard this year. I planted, well, hardly anything, because I'm leaving. There are flowers like Hydrangea and Black Eyed Susan up the ying fixing to bloom, but, I sort of like it green. The grapevines died off, but, they're coming back from the root with force. I'll trim them when I move the arch. Some day. Whatever. No veg garden either, I was to ill to put one in. I have a few tomatoes, peppers and eggplant. That's it. I have other things to do this year. I'm planting perrenials and shrubs at the other place. Look at that Willow in the back! That thing is huge. It IS a little scary out there and the house has been taken. In the front, I had to cut my way out. For real. The Trumpets are gorgeous though. Let me go get a pic of them.
There's the front of this shack. Yeah, I know it looks bad. I don't care. That vine though, OMG. I couldn't keep up with it and it took the roof and electric lines. It's also taking the big tree on the opposite side. (I hate that tree.) I want Trumpet over at the other place, but, I don't know about planting it near the house again. It got away from me. I'll bet if left alone, it could pull those lines out and tear that little porch off. But, man, the flowers are SO pretty. Being surrounded by plants is beautiful, but, it's creepy too. Things grow too fast and too big here.
There's a Brown Recluse that fell into the sink yesterday. He or she was the biggest one I've ever seen. I was really sorry to have to kill it. I felt bad about it all day. I trapped a pretty black Jumping Spider with green eyes and took him outside. It made me feel a little less guilty about this guy.
ps..my sink's not dirty, I just scrubbed it. It's just fucking ancient. I hate the bathroom here so much. It's gross. I can't wait to have a new one.

I've always loved your style of no real style, when it comes to gardening. It's what drew me to you. I'm excited to see what you're doing with the new place. I've been planting, moving, splitting...all week long. My back is shot. I wish I were closer...I have a ton of hosta to unload. Really pretty ones, many varieties. I love how the nurseries try to sell multiple plants...like I'm not going to get 10 out of this 1 in a couple years?
Oh my, do I LOVE Hostas and they cost a lot too. I have a few I moved, but, I would love more. The ones I moved are doing fantastic in the shade over there. So, are you revamping or what? Have you ever tried that lotion called Villiage Naturals Therapy? They sell it at Wal-Mart. The stuff is good, it's way better than most of those pepper based creams. I use gloves to put it on, but, I really do get some relief from it. I wish you were closer too, just so we could sit and talk plants. My few friends are good ones, but, they really don't garden.
Creeeepy crawly creeeepy crawly. Creepycreepycrawlycrawlycreepycreepycrawlycrawly.
He knew what was coming and that made it bad. I almost let him go. If I didn't have a child, I would have. But, man, they can smart if you accidentally get bit.
That first picture is a absolutely gorgeous. Like a storybook.
Awww. Sometimes it strikes me that way too, but, sometimes it's sinister. I can not keep up with the critters and such in there. The back is two lots, pretty secluded and all planted like that. It can be a heart thumping place at time, I don't go back there after dark. It is pretty though and that story book cottage look is what I was going for. Maybe it's just me, but, I want to think about my next plants for awhile. Do I really want this again and can I help myself? Always an addict.
I lost my will to garden the year before last. Hail storm took out everything I planted and all my perennials. We were lucky. It took out a large majority of roofs, windows and siding in the city too. They're still rebuilding from it. Anyway, I don't have the heart to plant and then lose everything anymore. We have grocery stores. I can afford to wallow.
It's really interesting to Google when spiders keep showing up in your life. It means change is coming.
I loved the pictures. I got a recluse bite and it took weeks to get better and 9 return trips to the doctor. NINE
I was hoping the gardener, the older guy, would come today but it was his son in law. I was hoping for Edwuardo because he redid my irrigation system. It only comes on twice a week now and I don't think it actually comes on or if so not long enough or the reach isn't enough. I water via bucket now for close by stuff. I'm not replanting any of the stuff destroyed, which was a lot, not doing any veg or fruit. What little of a back I have doesn't need to lug soil and all that.
They brought back lots of boxes from the warehouse, more to come. Neatiy packed. Also washer and dryer tho the dryer isn't hooked up. I haven't tried the washer yet, afraid it won't work and I'll have water all over the floor where the boxes are or in the tub that I will have to bail out. Soon I'll try, and find somebody to crawl around and hook up dryer.
I just figured out what that first pic reminded me off. You know those cards you get at the funeral home with the pic on one side and the uplifting writing on the back? That would make a good one. Maybe you could start the funeral card business. The front would be that pic and the back would say something like kiss your ass goodbye....or something!
